There's stuff that run's under the MI that does not report in WRKACTJOB. For example, when you are doing a save the before processing (which allocates the objects) and the after part (which deallocates the objects) run's above the MI, and reports on WRKACTJOB. The actual spin to tape, the part in the middle, runs under the MI, and does not show up.
