Yeah, and we were paying extra for 24/7 support since our production print runs at night. We needed to upgrade our printer and we went with Canon. We had a problem once because a roller broke. They were there WITH the part in 2 hours. We got two 105 ppm Canon printers for the price of one IP85 from IBM over a 3 year period. IP75 is like .07 cents a click and Canon is about .03. Plus Canon offered no interest on three year leases. PLUS for IP85 you have to pay several thousand dollars to be able to print Postcript and PCL. It was utterly ridiculous. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Crosby" <jlcrosby@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 20, 2003 2:52 PM Subject: Re: Laser printers > Adam Lang wrote: > > > Our company won't buy IBM printers anymore.
