This is why you buy IBM (AS/400 ) products.  One vendor, one support line,
if it's broken, you call one vendor  (IBM)  and they fix it.  You are
trying to live partially in the world of UNIX or NT, when it breaks, you
diagnosis it, and you fix it.

Have a happy day, I'm glad you saved money, I'm sorry that your company
spend more to fix the problem.  Obviously, they don't care about profit.

Hello all,

Since upgrading to V5R2, our Twinax connected line printers, Genicom 4590
emulating 4234's, have been fouling up. After an IPL the printers will
sporadically miss pages or stop in the middle of printing for no apparent
reason. We need to recreate the device descriptions, then everything works
ok. Is anyone aware of any PTFs that may fix this issue.
