Check the job logs to determine what errors might be occurring.
WRKSPLF SELECT(QSPLJOB) will show the joblogs for the writers.
Is this direct connect twinax or is there some "box" in between.
I would also verify the twinax cables are all good. The newer 400's
operate twinax at a faster data rate (all within IBM specs). Several
vendors have had problems at various releases. I once had
Decision Data show up with a box to trace the signals (because
they couldn't figure it out-many years ago).
