Attaching Spooled Files to Email

We are an AS400 shop and would like to distribute reports generated on the AS400 to managers via email. The issue we are having is that when we copy a spooled file to a text file, the page breaks are lost. This is not really an issue if the text file is being viewed online, but if the manager chooses to print the file out, it doesn't print properly because of page breaks. Are there any midrange clients distributing reports from their AS400 via email? If so, do you have any suggestions that might possibily help us with this issue? Are there any utilities that you might recommend to help? Thanks in advance for any input you might have.
