1. Disallow queries from being run in batch e. Will hurt performance. 2. IPL regularly (weekly?) a. Will make no difference 3. Keep spool files cleaned up a. Will make no difference 4. Change QPRFADJ to 0 and manually tune system Any number of possibilities: a, b, c, d or e-may hurt performance. This depends upon a number of factors: i) How good are you at performance ii) How timely are your performance adjustments with changes in job load The big problem is you didn't state what your current value is. Hopefully it is 2 - automatically adjust, and upon IPL also. Adjusting only at IPL is only good if you do hardware upgrades and you want it to tune itself then, and then you'll correct it from there. And even then only turn it on for the ipl immediately following the upgrade. 5. Minimize the number of jobs in the system a. Will make no difference b. Will make negligible difference c. Will increase performance noticeably d. Will increase performance dramatically Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
