Steven, Your options are really rather limited. Through a variety of mechanisms you should be able to provide access to the console. Whether you use a program like PCAnywhere on twinax emulation or configure a RAS connection to an Operations Console session or just have people walk over to the console is really dependent on other factors. One person can get in at a time and they must do it at the console. I realize this wasn't your question, but it might be worth examining why they spend so much time in restricted state that this becomes a problem. If they are dedicating the system so that users cannot access the system during backup, then there may be solutions such as ending various subsystems while allowing a private subsystem to remain up for the support teams' interactive work.
