I have, in a previous life, coded the following; Native server programs create 'a text representation' of a green screen Multiple client programs to the servers did different things: a) native client took the stream and using USRDFN record and produced the 5250 stream b) web client took the stream and dynamically created HTML c) PC client took the stream and dynamically created controls in a Windows 'window' d) server 'client' on another server took the stream and processed it as if it was entered by a user. You just need to create the XSD to be able to describe all 'screens' - and actually the original 5250 data stream definition is a pretty good place to start. --phil
