Yes, I think I have a cgalgano@sprintpcs.com (Sprint's Web mail, but I never check it or use it). The address to send an SMS message to the phone is yournumber@messageing.sprintpcs.com. ( I have an alias on our exchange server called pagecarl@ediconsulting.com that forwards to the sprint address). There is also a TAPI 1.5 interface into Sprint's network, for software that support the TAPI standard. I think I can find the number around here someplace if someone needs it. cjg Carl J. If I send mail to that, it's a POP message, not an SMS message. Do the providers give you another address for sending SMS messages? Mike Eovino E-Commerce Manager Estes Express Lines I have an app that does it. Basically just sends a short text message to the email address of a cell phone. Works great. cjg Carl J. I do not want to pass the messages to an intermediary like BT, Vodaphone etc - I am doing that already and they are just too unreliable for critical messages. Surely some software exists somewhere that would enable my iSeries to send SMS transactions direct to mobiles/pagers via a modem? I have an Intel blade in my iSeries, so at a pinch, even a Windoze application would be an option. Jeffrey E.
