For a company > like us that: > - is using TSM > - has BRMS > - is using Sametime > - is using Quickplace > - is using the SQL development kit, (but not on the 840 yet) > - is interested in Websphere (for BPCS reasons) > - is using performance tools > ... > This might be true. But for others... You've hit it on the head, Rob. This is a GREAT deal for the high-end corporate systems. Companies like yours that really use all of the IBM pieces are going to get a great deal. But companies who use the AS/400 primarily as a business back-office processor, especially smaller companies, are not going to be particularly impressed. By the way, to get to the high end of the CPW numbers for each machine, that requires activating the CUOD processors. For the 825, it's $60,000 additional which nearly doubles the price of the standard edition model, but for the 870 it's $200,000 and for the 890 it's $240,000. Once again, the bigger you are the less you pay. Joe
