I'm no expert, but my recollection and understanding was the you're running
w/o temp applied LIC PTFs, but you still have temp applies OS (and LPP)
ptfs.

Hmmm.  It's my understanding that booting from ##MACH#A means you're running
without any temporarily applied PTFs.  I could have misunderstood, but
everybody has intimated that this is the case.
