We had one little problem with an upgrade from 4.4 to 5.1 The system
decided to rename the resource for the CD ROM drive on our 170-2291. The CD
was dead after the first step and we could not load the rest of the licensed
programs or PTF's. The fix was simple. WRKHDWRSC *STG to find the CD
resource name, in our case from OPT01 to OPT02. Vary off the CD and change
the resource name to match. Keep it in mind and it can save you hours of
battling IBM's corrupted service data base. ARG!!

Okay, after much haranguing, I have finally gotten my V5R1 media. That
means this weekend is the big weekend. That being the case, I'm asking one
last time for any links you think are beneficial, any documents you thought
were crucial to the process, any gotchas, any timesavers.

I've compiled a list of things like Rob's points about reply list entries
and system values. I'm just doing a last doublecheck and asking for the
wisdom of the list for guidance.
