Rick, So many of the startup routines proceed asynchronously (like subsystem auto/pre-start jobs) that it is entirely possible that supporting tasks are not active prior to the VRYCFG command. If you can ensure that the VRYCFG is the last line of QSTRUP, then you could precede it with a DLYJOB. Or have qstrup submit a job to a job queue with a brief delay followed by the VRYCFG.
