Is the death of CFINT available for current AS/400 owners?

Hi all,
I just read the announcement that IBM is no longer using the "governor"
CFINT.

Is this retroactive (by PTF) to all AS/400 owners or just on new models?

In particular, I have a 720 and a 170.  Can I get a PTF to kill the CFINT
program for these currently-operational machines?
