GO SAVE, option 21 basically does the following:
SAVSYS
SAVLIB *NONSYS
SAVDLO
SAV DEV(...)
           OBJ(('/*')
           ('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT)
           ('/QDLS' *OMIT))

So you need to restore from the same. And I think you'd be hard pressed
to do the restore of the SAVSYS from a save file.

*NONSYS cannot handle save files. So, you'd have to break that up into
one library per save file.

I'd recommend getting a tape drive.

Hmmm. This is an interesting topic. At some point I'm going to need to
upgrade my current box, which has no tape drive. I had always assumed
this
would primarily be a matter of saving to save files and copying them to
the
new box.

Listening to this discussion, it seems that that may not be the case, eh?

Can anybody think of what gotchas I'm going to encounter when I go to
upgrade this box?

Joe
