Manoj, you have a lot of the basics. But there are many things to track. That's why tools wlike Hawkeye Pathfinder and Abstract probe exist. As an example, service programs are not listed in DSPPGMREF, only in DSPPGM.

It may be possible, from one of these cross-reference tools, to get a list of associated objects for a program, perhaps to an outfile.

Tools like Aldon Change Management also store dependencies, for change impact analysis, etc. It also can import info from Pathfinder, at least. If you have any of these products, the info is in the files, you may just need to read the relevant stuff.

Hi
  Tools , I don't know
can we make a CL program which Use DSPPGMREF and direct to an out file( eg
TStOBjFL). Read the file (here it is TStOBjFL). check the fields for "Object
Referenced" & "Library referenced". if"Library referenced" is not in *LIBL
add that and then call our program. I think if the object library is
included in the library list, the field for "Library referenced" will
contain "*LIBL"

sure, but I'd like the tool to do this automatically - feed it the source
of the program and it checks it out...
