Thanks to everybody... I'm going to try to talk these guys into a ethernet adapter from the used market. I have several sources for used gear and the ethernet adapters for the 500 aren't too bad(under $300). The machine is still on maint., so that's another issue on who is gonna do the install. IBM get $230 per hour with a two hour minimum on this install. The $460 is gonna hurt when I propose this little solution.
