Just don't plug a surge protector into a surge protector.  Ever.  You don't
get more/better protection, it turns the combo into just an extension cord.

Just my opinion, of course, but more is always better.  As I understand it,
though, uninterruptible power supplies act as excellent surge protectors.
Do you not have your system plugged into such a thing?

But I got to thinking - Do I even need a surge protector for the AS/400?
You would think that a six figure machine would have some built in
protection.  Or is more better?
