Pure English Application need support DBCS, you need first use 'O' or 'E' type in DSPF DDS for display file to display DBCS and English word. You can use system control file to contain both DBCS and English display menu description and item description. You also need to change the PF DDS field to 'O' or 'E' Type. That is heavy job, but also is very easy for implementing. My initial thought is there's likely an outfit that will do it for me, but I'm curious about the impact of DBCS overall. It seems like a big, nasty, and very expensive task; that might be the reason my head hurts. I'm familiar with the IBM National Languages manual.
