Bob With Ops Console, watch out for the IP subnet you are on. Ops Console wants all of the 192.168.0.0 (255.255.255.0 mask) subnet. If you have a card on the PC in that subnet, Ops Console will not work. Changing that took care of all my problems with Ops Console. HTH Vern At 12:22 AM 11/5/02 -0600, you wrote:
While the support remains, IBM recently ended marketing for twinax devices. Evidently there was not enough volume to justify running the assembly line. The advice I received was buy a used IBM on the open market, or use a 3rd party device. As for LAN Console, we have had mixed results. On a 3 LPAR system it worked pretty good. On a 5 LPAR system, it was not pretty. Problem seems to be related to Windows NT. We are going to upgrade to 2000 and try again on this system Bob Larkin Certified iSeries Technical Solutions Expert V5R2
