I would rather like to see that:
in SQL/400, when running SQL statements interactively;
in Query Manager when pressing F15 (check) or F5 (run).

I do not think it is that hard to implement without starting debug or using 
OOOOOpsNaf (or whatever).

But then, as an aside, SQL/400 needs a lot of improvement, still.

Just my thoughts.
