OK - the age old question if there IS going to be a "Rack Mounted" AS/400 has
finished. I've been moaning about this for a while, but it was delivered w/out
many people EVEN KNOWING that's it's been here all along!!

1) All 270's are apparently designed to fit within a STANDARD rack, with a
Drawer thingy that IBM can provide to place the 270 in question onto. (19
inches I believe is the size!) (The double wide ones at least... the thin 270's
can be placed onto shelves)
2) All 830's are ALSO designed to fit within these SAME spaces!!
3) All 820's require a 24inch rack (I think - I didn't verify this) but this is
the only NON-Standard AS/400 sized box apparently

OK - so I don't have the right to ask (ANYMORE) where the Rack mounted AS/400's
are, they've been with us all along! However when I ask about it, the IBMer's
(not knowing their own product I guess...) answer "Why do you need this" - I
guess they don't know their own product?
