With any of the spooled file managers, even roll-your-own, business users
and other IT staff will invariably
move splfs around from one dedicated outq to another.
We also schedule a few jobs once a week before any archiving or purging
takes place; which sweep selected splfs back to their designated outq, as
the purge strategy is based on the outq name.
A command like this below is used;
I have learned to be really grateful to programmers who specify a unique
userdata parameter and who use unique named spool files for their pgm
output. So much easier to filter than the careless fools who blithely use
QSYSPRT for all & set the default to SAVE(*YES).
