AS/400 is usually a server and should probably not be
assigned a dynamic address. It cannot do so even to the
latest releases.

So Jim needs to set up the interface, using opt 1 of GO
CFGTCP, using, as others have pointed out, an address
outside the range assigned by the LinkSys router.

These by default use 192.168.1.1 for the config app. He
could just go to that address, enter the password (admin
by default, no user id) and go to the DHCP tab to see
what the settings are.
