We lease our machines. Have the smallest 270, also.
Software is basically free when ordered, so load it up.
We have DB2 Symmetric Multiprocessing, Backup Recovery
and Media Services, DB2 UDB Extenders, Domino
(Enterprise), WebSphere Application Server, Query/400,
SQL, WDS, Client Access, V5R1. If you want PASE, you
must order it for V5R1, included in V5R2. Get the 17gig
drives, if they're still the same price as 8gigs. Get
1gig memory. Maybe go for the 13gig tape drive instead
of the 4gig.

Hardware support included the first yeae, then be ready
to pay. Support Line not included. Only basic defect-
only support for software. 3 years subscription included.

Lease is 1.75%/month of the hardware quote (list)
