Use 1252 for the CCSID - that's what it is (USA, anyway) when you use *PCASCII, as the PTF lets you do. At 03:57 PM 9/23/02 -0400, you wrote:
Help... I'm trying to use cpytoimpf on a V4R4 system to copy to a Win Nt server via QNTC...doesn't have CCSID parameter. This app has to copy a file to an NT (not integrated NT) folder on the network, for import into a PC program running on the network. If I create the file on the PC and use cpytoimpf to copy data into it, it works fine. However, I'm not going to be able to do this. When the import procedure runs on the PC, the file is moved to another directory, plus the fact that I need to use the timestamp as part of the pc file name, so that multiple versions can exist in the network folder. When I run the cpytoimpf without a file on the PC, it appears to run ok, but gives an error saying "0 records copied". Two questions: Any suggestions on how to get around this? If I were able to specify the CCSID, which would I use? AS/Resources, Inc. William A.(Tony) Corbett
