Different folks->strokes, eh? (Too much C programming, methinks) We have a
specific situation that probably not everyone has. We want the uploads to
go to a specific location by default - the home directory for the
specially-assigned profile that signs on for the ftp upload. It is a pain
when I want to use libs, but it serves our customers, so it's the "right"
way to do it. <g>

I would say stay away from NAMEFMT 1 unless you need to work with IFS

consistent using NAMEFMT 1 would be the best approach since it is used when
accessing every IFS structure where as NAMEFMT 0 only works with QSYS.LIB.

Two different ways to get to the same end.

Your way, using NAMEFMT 1, does makes it easier to automate uploading of
save file data to a 400.
