Konrad, Is this CISC-to-RISC? I've forgotten your current release. Certainly if you have the ability to run side-by-side for awhile, you dramatically lessen the need for extensive (expensive) planning for a one-shot conversion. Suddenly the scare tactics are not so scary. My initial reaction, if you have the ability to deal with those 'infant mortality' problems without impact on your production system, would be install at V5R2.
