With our new system on the way (we got tired of Rob whining about us being back level), the topic of install upgrade at 5.1 or 5.2 has come up. So far a great many ways to install have been suggested by many consultants, all detailing the difficulty in doing so...at great expense. What part of these scare tactics are real or imagined? Bottom line, any suggestions from those that have gone before? Tips, tricks, gotchas, system values to watch out for? To me it seems like the simplest plan is to just install the machine and LPPs at 5.1, apply all PTFs, reconfigure the machine, script the user profiles and dedicated devices such as outq's then just restore the user libraries from the old box. This leaves the old box alone and productive until we get by the infant mortality problems with the new box and gives us adequate time to test before going live. Thanks in advance for any help! Konrad
