Hi Jay, >From your posting, it sounds like you might have an OS/400 definition mismatch in that you have activated the System Driver Program *HPPJLDRV within a remote output queue definition. Remote Output Queues are defined to use LPR transport and not a TCP Raw Socket. If this is not the problem, the OS/400 message means it was unable to establish a connection to port 515 on the JetDirect interface. The most usual reason is that the printer was busy at that moment servicing a print request from a different host and the IBM host timed out. The XAUTOQ feature of a remote output queue is the best method of overcoming this difficulty. I have some examples of how to configure both a remote output queue and *LAN printer in pdf format. I would be happy to send them to you off list. Please let me know if this would be useful.
