The open source tn5250 emulator: http://tn5250.sourceforge.net When running under Windows, it can be configured to play an arbitrary wav file for a beep. You just need to add a line to your configuration file. For example: beepfile=C:\windows\media\tada.wav I don't know if this will (precisely) meet your needs, but it's easy to try, and costs nothing.
