I wish you luck on your quest...

one solution:

  Write a Java program...  And in that java program, retrieve from the
command line, the two system/tables you want to compare...  Do a generic
select * from... type of clause, parse through the meta data, and write two
CSV files, one for each table...  And then call your diff or compare program
from java, supplying it with the newly created csv files.  If your using a
PC, I recommend  araxis merge or examdiff,  great tools..

... I have looked over the diff.c code in the past, and I just don't think
you can create that type of functionality in a stored procedure...  It's
just too darn complex... At least the good diffs I have seen...  You have to
walk forward and backwards trying to find midpoints... ...
