After pressing <Enter>, however, I realized (too late) that I was in the production system. I tried SysReq+2+<Enter> (this was dumb terminal days) to cancel out of the CLRPFM, but the system gave back a message that read "Cancel request delayed until internal operation is complete". When the internal operation (clearing the file) was complete. I had to get everyone off the system and restore the file. Luckily it was a somewhat static file and it only caused about an hour of downtime, most of which was spent trying to get everybody signed off so I could restore the file. ~:)
