Now that sounds quite promising, especially since it would allow me to use the AS/400 to send the file via email. I attempted this suggestion but the file looked like garbage when opened by Excel. Some research in the archives revealed that PTF SF62142 is probably needed so the EBCDIC will be converted to ASCII by CPYTOIMPF. I'll let you know if this works after we get the PTF installed. And for rows it's hex13? You can name both of these in the CPYTOIMPF. This should open directly in Excel. <clip>
