Vern, We use both Checkpoint and Cisco depending on our customers needs and infrastructure. We normally will suggest Checkpoint with a Nokia appliance because it is rock solid, great reporting, easy to administer, and has an easy VPN client. It may be a bit more pricey than you want up front, however in the long run, it is next to impossible to beat. (assuming the Linux is out of the question due to the new OS) The other direction you may consider is to use Symantec's product that will be out soon for the iSeries Linux installation. Runs on the iSeries in a Linux LPAR (easy and cheap to set up) That should eliminate your concerns about running a Linux box. Jim Oberholtzer Senior Technical Architect Computech Resources, Inc.
