I don't agree with that argument but you should get it PTFed. It's broken so get it fixed for the benefit of others. There are too many instances of people coding around IBM defects (e.g., the QtmhCvtDb example recently raised here) where the standard practice seems to be "Oh, it's broken. Don't use it. Do this instead." when the proper solution is to get the defect fixed by IBM.
