I am not sure what "program" Anne has found - when I applied for a developer box thru iSeries Services Network (really part of Partnerworld) I was told the under $10k loaded developer box program had been stopped (mostly legal problems I was told). I did get a low end 270 with decent memory/disk & developer tools for 240 month on 2 year lease. Need decent company credit or refundable deposit. Cannot use the box for commercial hosting - develop/demo only. Must be working towards a product or supporting an existing product. Can get the major software like MQ Series, WebSphere commerce for almost nothing in the Partnerworld program. I asked at Soundoff at last Common about the Developers Box - Buell Duncan said it was active program - but others said had been terminated. Hope Anne comes up with something better than current lease deal. BTW-lease rates went up soon after I signed. hth jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Winchester Terry" <terry.winchester@raymondcorp.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Friday, August 02, 2002 12:01 PM Subject: RE: Developer Boxes > Anne, > > Could you please define "inexpensive" with a > dollar value range.
