Regarding the attached messages: There is an inexpensive "box" for developers. I tracked down the information yesterday for a couple of folks. If you are interested, please send me an email to alucas@us.ibm.com Thanks! Anne From: "Dan Bale" <dbale@samsa.com>: I realize we have beaten this thing to death, but it irks me to no end that IBM can't see any value in selling a one user, development-only system for something less than a second mortgage. Isn't *that* what we've been telling IBM??? And "Leif Svalgaard" <leif@leif.org> responded with: value to whom? to you? IBM doesn't care about you. To IBM? well, by setting a low price on a one-man development box, does IBM get value? Would your development help IBM sell more boxes? Not likely, or rather: by the actions IBM show us that they don't think so. Wake up to it. The name of the game for IBM right now is to milk the userbase for as much as possible before the platform dies away. It would also help the stock price if sales can be raked up this year (Greenstreak) so that the last two quarters look good. ************ Have a great day! and .... Enthusiasm is like a ripple in the water... It spreads! Anne C.
