I know Albert laid this thread to rest yesterday and I think I have seen every post related to it. FWIW, my have written a software package around the FTP client on the 400 and it has commands that the user can use to send/receive files. The parameters of the commands determine how the FTP source statements are generated on the fly. I always user the line: USER xxxxxx yyyyyyyy Where xxxxxx is the user name and yyyyyy is the password. I'm not sure anyone else mentioned this variation. cjg Carl J.
