Sassenach! The English have been doing that for at least 400 years!  So much
for The Union.

The Edward mentioned above is Edward I (a.k.a. Longshanks) who held the
English throne from 1272 until his death in 1307 so they've been coveting
their neighbours for a very long time -- mind you, that does seem to be de
riguer for the times.  Still, this no longer has to do with midrange stuff
so I'll stop now -- waiting for the furore this append creates!
