If you can code an external printer file, use the "LINE" keyword to a printer file type *AFPDS. Requires no special products from IBM. Then to get to pdf, I used Gumbo Software SPOOLTOOL (cheap) which will convert *afpds spools to pdf. I have a customer's web site in rpg-cgi doing this now, and is very fast. I did logo's not LINE, but same idea. email me privately if need more. jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Rich" <james@eaerich.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 07, 2002 3:58 PM Subject: Re: Create PDF file with lines on AS/400 > On Tue, 7 May 2002, Stone, Joel wrote: > > > I am attempting to create a price list with the typical item#, description, > > price, etc. > > > > I want to place horizontal and vertical grid lines on it to make it easier > > to read. > > > > The file will be created in RPG or COBOL, output to a physical file or spool > > file. > > > > The end result must be a PDF file, which will be emailed to a printer.
