We have just put in a new t622 with the ipds "simm" option. I can print out what I need to, and the spool file goes to save, the device and the writer stay active - I configured on AS/400 as an *ipds device so the only timeout option is for forcing last page, not any keep alive parms; the printer flashes the message "busy network ipds", if I release another print job, it just goes fine; however when I try to release a PC printout, it locks, and cannot print (like the as/400 has a lock on the device) we are at V5R1, and I just ordered a week ago and put on/ipl'd over this weekend current cum/db/hyper/and some others that I am not sure of. The Lexmark has many settings that do not seem to make this go away, only make it worse if I change them (ie: writer ends after each job) Anyone else out there been able to print ipds over IP and have the printer shared between all network devices (playing nicely together) TIA Mark A.
