Thanks for all the clarifications. We are no longer on SSA tech support. We do a lot of shop order adjustments, particularly in scheduled date, because we are make to order where our customers fluctuate their scheduled needs for shop orders after they are into production. A query/400 identifies shop orders whose due date now out of sync with MRP reccommendations. We alter due date to agree with MRP so that lower components will also be planned when now really needed. Shop order maintenance sometimes locks up & someone has to kill that session. The players never capture a job log so that I can see what caused the lock up. We study the order via SFC300 & discover that the allocations have been doubled with identical warehouse, component, sequence#. The only difference is that if there have been issues against the order, only one set of the duplicates got that action. I do not yet know at what point the doubling occurs. Thanks to helpful hints in reply to my earlier post, I now have SFCXBOM on BPCS menus to list how much stuff currently is doubled (none when I am looking for it).
