Some KVMs (the newer ones) are TCP addressable. Allowing the K, V & M to be
far away (ie. Toronto to Austin) from the servers, but generally the switch
is connected via a keyboard (K), video cable (V) and mouse cable (M) to the
servers locally. Locally generally means w/in a thousand or so feet.

The ones we use are from Belkin
(http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatSectionView.process?Section_Id=56) but there
are a number of manufacturers.
