>From: Leif Svalgaard [mailto:leif@attglobal.net] >Anne Lucas, any comments? or is a laptop AS/400 a political No-No? I can't speak for Anne, but in a recent conversation with someone in the know (first initial 'F' last initial 'S') it was stated that there was(is) a "laptop" in Rochester running OS/400. This laptop has a Power chip, not Intel, but isn't theory, it's been built. However, the above named individual was never able to present a REAL business case to management to move it into production. By "real" I don't mean several dozen midrange-l people saying "I'll buy one" but enough solid dependable interest for IBM to see a return on investment. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 (208) 692-3308 eFax WaldenL@TechSoftInc.com http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur.
