Well - what had happened was that before I could get to the command
parts he had started to follow one set of instructions that had you
enter everything via command line and switches vs the IBM instructions
that do it via menus and prompts.  So, we had an "ETHLINE" and "LANLINE"
created.  The problem also came up that I do not have direct access from
home to the AS400 so I have to tell him commands over the phone / Ims.
I told him to vary off Ethline and Lanline and then delete them both.
He didn't do that.  I told him to add a new line description and he had
the recoursed named wrong (CNM or something he called it).

When I was able to actually sit in front of a terminal knowning what you
all told me, I was good to go.

Oh, and the system has since automatically gone back to "01 B N"
