VARPG doesn't use DDS. It uses some internal stuff and event driven programming. Not saying that this is good or bad. It's just something you have to consider if you want to play in that environment. I guess you have to balance the "THEORY" of being able to plug you iSeries applications on to a PC and run without rework versus having applications that have a more PC look and feel.
