Jim,

I downloaded the WinXP version with a Win98 pc, extracted it and moved the
files over to the WinXP pc.

BTW, the AFP driver is also included on the Client Access Express CD from
V5R1, although you need a different .inf file for the installation (I had
IBM send me a good one, because the default on the CD doesn't work for some
reason).

If you want, I can send you the necessary files. Just e-mail me privately.

Subject: RE: AFP driver and Win XP error message

Peter, Thanks for the reply.

?????? The win98 version extracted and works fine on Win98.

The Win XP version failed to extract on a Win98 PC AND on a WinXP
Machine.

Two questions : Was it the Win 98 or the Win XP version that extracted
OK on Win 98 PC?

If it was 98 version will it run on XP?

TIA

Jim

Jim,

this happened to me also. Apparently either the download is corrupt or
it's something with XP, because when I re-downloaded and unpacked on
Win98, everything was OK.

Downloaded driver ibmafp20.exe for windows XP.

Go to dos window as instructed to explode.

Typed 'ibmafp20 c:\temp /d'

Get the following message:

BookManager (v9510)

All Rights Reserved. Licensed Materials.

Exploding: c:\temp\CMYK212half.ps
EZ20003: DosOpen error rc=206 on c:\temp\CMYK212half.ps.

Has anyone got this to work or know of a workaround?

TIA

Jim
