Mike, I believe SMTP honors the QUTCOFFSET system value. This needs to be set properly so OS400 can determine GMT (Greenwich mean time). Use of QUTCOFFSET adds complexity to daylight savings time, as this system value must be rolled forward and backward as the time changes. hth Eric DeLong Sally Beauty Company MIS-Sr. Programmer/Analyst 940-898-7863 or ext. 1863 -----Original Message----- From: Condon, Mike [mailto:M1C@ingersoll-imc.com] Sent: Monday, March 04, 2002 8:36 AM To: 'midrange-l@midrange.com' Subject: Email from as400/wrong time When I send out email from our AS400 using snddst, it appears to the recipient as being sent 6 hours earlier. How can I correct this? _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
