I'd guess because the iSeries interface is 5250-based (screen-scraper?) and
the interface job is suspended when a break message comes up. You can alter
this with a CHGJOB BRKMSG(*HOLD) in the interface job.

Subject: SNDBRKMSG locks up RF barcode scanners

Anybody have a clue as to why some of our Symbol and LXE barcode scanners
lock up when I issue a SNDBRKMSG TOMSGQ (*ALLWS)?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
